Product Description
A friend of mine is a geologist miner and he discovered a deposit of this material at MT Pit #1, Thompson Peak, Plumas County, California.

It is Albite epitaxial on Microcline and some pieces have small amounts of epidote in them.

You will receive one mineral specimen from the lot shown in the photos and video that is 2 inch to 3 inch and weighs 2 to 4 ounces.

Mineral Description
Albite is a plagioclase feldspar mineral. It is the sodium endmember of the plagioclase solid solution series. It represents a plagioclase with less than 10% anorthite content. The pure albite endmember has the formula NaAlSi3O8. It is a tectosilicate. Its color is usually pure white, hence its name from Latin, albus. It is a common constituent in felsic rocks. Albite crystallizes with triclinic pinacoidal forms.
